What is needed by the Windows 7 notification area and what is it all? The notification area (AKA tray) is a small block with icons in the lower right corner of the desktop, next to the clock. Maybe someone does not pay attention to him, and some other way around for convenience, informing and speed sets it up for itself. Rarely used icons can be turned off at all or hide, referring to them if necessary using a special button. In this article, I will scatter everything that can be useful to you when working with him, but for Sweet - What to do if the language panel is missing in Windows 7

To configure the notification area, go to the Windows 7 control panel, make a view on major icons and select item. Icons of the notification area.

Or you can click PCM on the scratch of the taskbar and select Properties. A window appears in which you want to click on the button. Tune In the tab Task bar in area Area of notifications.

or even easier - click on the triangle, which is near the language panel, and in choose Tune

A list of icons ever appeared in the Windows notification area.

For each icon, you can specify the parameter - " Behavior". 3 values are available here:

- Show icon and notice - The icon will always be displayed in the area of notifications; All messages that the program that created this icon shows with it (usually these pop-up messages) will be displayed;
- Show only notifications - The icon will be hidden. By pressing the button in the form of a small white triangle in the notification area, you can see all hidden icons. Messages will be displayed.
- Hide icon and notifications - The icon will be hidden (available through a button with a triangle), will not display messages.

In addition, you can turn off unnecessary icons, they will not be displayed at all, even in hidden. For this you need in the window settings of icons and notifications Press the link Enable or disable system icons. In the window that opens, set the parameter Behavior In a state OFF For unnecessary icons.

Also in the most extreme right corner of this area there is a strip that appears when the mouse cursor is hovering. Its purpose - roll over all windows. This is for those who are easier to perform actions with the mouse, and not use the key combination Win + D..

We delete the area of notifications through the registry.
This method is known to be known and needed, but still for general awareness I will describe it. After these manipulations in the notification area, only time and the language panel will remain.

1. Press the key combination Win + R. For opening utility Perform
2. Enter the REGEDIT command
3. Go on the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ SOFTWARE \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ Currentversion \\ Policies \\ Explorer
4. Create a new 32-bit DWORD key (click on the PCM in the right window and select Create -> DWORD Parameter (32 bits)) with the name NotrayItemSDisplay and set it the value - 1.
5. We leave the system registry and overload the computer.

When you get tired by an empty tray, then you can return it to 0 for the NotrayItemSDisplay attribute.

Disable component notifications
In the editorial office of Home Basic (home basic) I did not work like that, but I did this on the computer with Ultimate.
Maybe someone and bored and no need to pop out all sorts of messages from this area. For shutdown, there are 2 ways.
1) Using Group Policy Editor

Go to Start -> Control Panel, in the search bar, we enter a part of the request, for example: "Group"

and in the results found, we open the "Changing Group Policy".
- Start, in the search field, we enter a gpedit.msc and press the left mouse button on the result found.
In the Local Group Policy Editor console tree, open the "User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Start" and Taskbar ".
In the field of information you need to find a policy "Disable pop-up notifications of components ads", as shown in the following screenshot:

To open the policy settings enough:
- 2 times click on the left mouse button on the selected policy;
- From the context menu of the policy to choose the "Change" option;
For notifications not to display, you need to select the "Enable" parameter.
2) using the registry
In order to disable the notifications of the components of the notification area using the registry, you can use the following tweak:

"Taskbarnonotication" = DWORD: 00000001

How to use it? Open a notebook, insert this code there and save with any name and in any place convenient for you, the main thing is that the expansion was .reg

Change the delay time of the notification dialog boxes
Thanks to this setting, you can set the time during which notifications remain on the screen before they are closed. This can be done both using the graphical interface and using the registry.
1. Graphic interface
1) Start -> Control Panel And there are looking for the "Center for Special Opportunities".
2) Select the "Usage of Computer without Screen" or "Faceproofing" parameter:

3) Find "How long should the Windows notifications dialog boxes be left?" And exhibit from the drop-down list the time you need.

2. System registry
In order to change the interval of the delay time of the notification dialog boxes using the system registry, you can use the following tweak:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"Messageduration" = DWORD: 00000005

Where 00000005 is time in seconds. In this case, it is 5th.

Cleaning outdated icons from the icon selection dialog and notifications
After installing / running programs that are placed in the notification area, this list grows all the time. With the following tweak, you can leave in the current dialog to display only those icons that are located in the notification area at the moment.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"PasticonsStream" = -
"Iconstream" = -

To apply the changes, you must restart the EXPLORER.EXE process or exit the system.
Attention! Think carefully about the use of this tweak, because After him, it may be so that you will disappear notifications from the list.

Well, finally, I will answer such a common question - What if the language panel disappeared?.
Yes, it happens. And people immediately fall into panic and begin to look for an answer on this question on the Internet.
This is happening (I am about the breakpoint of the panel) because some programs are "incubated" and change their settings as they do. ICQ 7 may give problems with the language panel. Well, if you have cleaned the registry with a utility some.
Well, the actual solution of this problem:
1) click the PKM at any free place on the control panel, choose the panels and check whether there is a check mark on the contrary Language bar

2) Start - Control Panel - Language and Regional Standards - Tab Languages and keyboard - Button Change keyboard

Go to the tab Language bar And do it like me. Well, or how it is more convenient for you, but I have everything well and satisfies with these settings.

3) A little modified previous way, but can also help:
we need a common tab

The meaning is that you need to change the default language from the drop-down menu on English (Apply - OK), and then choose again Russian (Apply - OK). If you have only Russian, then click Add and add English.

Well, if all this does not help, it means that something in the file ctfmon.exe. responsible for the language panel. The ctfmon.exe application in turn is closely related to the service Task Scheduler. Type of launch at the scheduler tasks should be Automatically. Check it:
Start -> Control Panel -> Administration -> In the left window, choose Services and applications -> in them services -> We are looking for in the right list Task Scheduler and make sure that the startup type field is automatically

Well, finally, the most rigid method for those whom nothing helped is a registry tweak.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"ctfmon.exe" = "C: \\\\ Windows \\\\ System32 \\\\ CTFMON.EXE"

We save in notepad all this with expansion rEGStarting, reboot.

In this series of articles, we disassemble thoroughly iOS 9 settings. IOS settings are added, modified and even deleted with each new version of the system. The article is relevant for both, but you need to take into account the higher the system number - the more opportunities it offers.

Today in the second part of the article I will dismiss the second settings block. It includes three items: notifications, management point and do not disturb.

Notifications

This section is intended to configure notifications in iOS.

Notifications - These are text and / or audio alerts of the user about the application. These notifications send the application developers manually, or they are triggered to certain events within the application. For example, the developer can notify the release of new levels in the update or the program reminds you of a specific date in your calendar, etc.

The arrow in the screenshot shows the call of the notification center.

Options There is a serticulation order:

 • Recent - Notifications will be sorted from new to the old.
 • Manually - The user himself exposes the priority of notifications in the center of notifications. Above will be those above the list.

Option Group. by program Responsible for grouping notifications in the center of notifications.

If the option is turned off, then in the notification center they will be divided by day.

And if enabled, the notifications will be broken down by programs.

Well, left to disassemble Style notifications in settings. Here is a list of programs in which the user can configure notifications to your liking.

In the screenshot, the options that can be selected for the application are visible. Please note that in some programs, individual options may be missing - it means it is laid by the developer.

Allow notifications - Home option. Belly disconnect if you do not want to see notifications from the application in any form. There are applications that get annoying notifications - then I am running here. Plus, when you first start, as a rule, the program requests permission to notice. If this permission is not given, this item in the settings will be immediately turned off.

In the center of notifications - Display or not notification from the application in the notification center.

Sounds - Disable if you do not need sound alert. I turn off this option from applications that abuse sounds, for they often sound at the most inopportune moment.

Sticker on the icon - Display or not the number of notifications on the icon.

On a blocked screen - Display or not notifications (including in the notification center) when iPad is blocked. If the option is disabled, then notifications from the application will come only during active operations with the tablet.

Warning style on unlocked device (no, banners or warnings):

You should know that four standard applications have separate notification settings. In particular, applications photo and messages have an option Show miniature. If it is enabled, then the miniature pictures are displayed in the notifications (if it was in the message).

For a calendar, you can separately configure different types of events in the program (see Screenshot below).

Mail notifications are configured separately for each mailbox in the system. Very comfortably.

Control point

Office (or control center) - This is a panel that can be called swipe up at the bottom of the screen. This panel contains useful options to quickly access them. Unfortunately, the management point cannot be flexible to configure under its needs - it is necessary to put up with that functional, which is available in it.

 • enable / disable aircraft, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do not disturb the screen orientation lock
 • elementary Music Management (Stop / Pause, Next Track)
 • screen brightness control
 • starting applications clock and photo
 • manage Airdrop and Airplay (not available for all iPhone, iPad models)

In the settings of the control point are available only two switches:

On a blocked screen - Allow or do not control the control item to be available on the locked device screen. When the option is enabled, anyone without authorization will be able to include music, turn on the air, make a photo and more. I recommend this option to turn off if you do not want unauthorized (albeit limited) access to the device.

Access to programs - Allow or no control item to be accessible during application operation. Sometimes it is relevant to disable this option in games where swipes are actively used (for example, Fruit Ninja) to accidentally not call the panel.

The control point has not changed since the times of iOS 7. It is discussed in more detail in a separate review. Unfortunately, until now Apple has not added to the panel obvious turning on / off 3G / LTE.

Do not disturb

Do not disturb (or "Do not disturb" mode) - designed to transfer the device to silent calls, reminders and notifications.

If the mode is on, the crescent icon appears in the upper right corner of the screen.

Manually - If you enable this switch, the device switches to "Do not disturb" mode and to disable it, you want to manually turn this feature. Alternative to this button is the switch in the control point.

Windows 10 notification system is still under development - upgraded application notifications that appear on your lock screen, on the desktop and in the center of notifications. In the jubilee update of Windows 10, Microsoft added even more notifications (currently Windows can attach your phone via the Kortan application and transmit android notifications to the desktop) and additional notifications options, including the possibility of prioritizing certain applications compared to others.

The center of notifications / actions is already quite functional, but it is still quite confused. This is how to manage notifications on Windows 10, prevent their appearance on the lock screen or disable them at all.

Observe my privity, please.

Notifications automatically appear on the Windows 10 lock screen, so you can stay in the subject without having to unlock the device. But you can't not want to see all (or some) notifications that appear on the lock screen, in this case you can disable this feature.

To delete all notifications from the lock screen, open the Settings menu and select "System> Notifications and Actions> Notifications" and turn off the toggle switch to display "Display notifications on the lock screen".

To hide notifications from a specific application from the lock screen, open the Settings menu and select "System> Notifications and Actions> Get notifications from these senders" and click on the application you want to configure. In the application notification menu, turn on the Save Privacy Privacy on the Lock screen.

Set priorities.

Notifications can pop up everywhere (on the lock screen, on the desktop, on the phone ...), but they actually live in the center of notifications. Notifications not from all applications are important, so Windows 10 allows you to set application priorities for the notification center.

In order to establish priorities for notifications from the application, open the Settings menu and select "System> Notifications and Actions> Receive Notifications from these Senders" and click on the application you want to configure. At the bottom of the window there will be a priority switch, select the desired priority level: the highest (displayed at the top of the notification center), high (displayed above ordinary notifications in the notification center) or the usual (displayed at the bottom of the notification center). Programs are set by default in the "normal" priority.

In this menu, you can also choose how many notifications from the application must be visible in the center of notifications at any time. The default value is 3, but you can also set it in 1, 5, 10 or 20 from the drop-down menu under the item "Number of notifications visible in the center of notifications."

Switching sounds.

If you are not against notifications, but against sounds, or you want to install another sound of notifications, you need to go to the control panel. You can disable the sound for individual applications in the Settings menu.

Right-click on the Start button and open the control panel. Click the sound to open the "Sound" menu and select the "Sounds" tab.

In the "Software Events" window, scroll down until the "Notification" item appears (in Windows tree). Click on this item to select it, and then open the drop-down menu under the "sounds" inscription. You can either choose another sound for notifications, or you can go to the top of the menu and select the option "No" to disable the sounds of notifications completely.

Disable all notifications.

If you do not need notifications at all, not a problem - it is easy to make them practically invisible in Windows 10.

To disable all notifications from all applications, open the Settings menu and select "System> Notifications and Actions> Notifications" and turn off the toggle switch to "receive notifications from applications and other senders."

If you just want to disable some notifications, go to "receive notifications from these senders" and turn off individual applications.

To hide the notification center icon on the taskbar, right-click on the taskbar and select "Parameters". Under the "Notification Area", click on "Enable and disable system icons". Turn off the notification center toggle switch to remove its icon from the taskbar.

The notification area is located on the taskbar and consists of icons such as time, date, language, audio volume, etc. and notifications that can be configured in different ways.

So, in order to configure Windows 7 notifications area, you need to perform a number of actions in order:

Step 1 . To go to the settings section of the notification area, press once across the arrow ontask panels.

Step 2. . In the window that appears, selectSet up ...

Step 3. . A new window will open, which is calledIcons of the notification area. In this window you can customize icons and notifications.

Step 4. . Each icon you can configure in your own way. For this, in the column Behavior Pressdeploying list And select one of the three necessary actions for you:

- show icon and notifications.
- Hide the icon and notifications (if you want to remove the icon from the notification area).
- Show only notifications
.

In this window you can also:

- Enable or disable system icons, such as time, sound, internet connections or network.
- Restore the default icon (All settings will be shown to the initial state)

If you want the icons and notifications to be hidden, then in the field Always display all icons and notifications on the taskbar Tick check mark.

Remove badges from the notification area You can other easier way.
To do this, simply click on the icon you need and pull it up. A small window will open, here you are in it and place your icon.

If you want again add icon to notifications area, Click on the arrow and drop the icon on the taskbar from the small window.
That's all. Setting up the notification area is completed.
